Cigarette Smoking Habits Of Selected Male And Female Public High School Students In Muntinlupa City A.Y 2015-2016

This study on the cigarette smoking habits of selected male and female public high school students is essential in order to give accurate findings about the prevalence of smoking in Muntinlupa City and to know the contributory factors that influence the high school students to smoke.This research is a quantitative design. The respondents of this study are the selected male and female public high school students in Muntinlupa City who have already an experience in using cigarette. The respondents are not restricted to only one level, age, gender and school. The respondents consists of 100 high school students in selected public secondary school in Muntinlupa City. The researchers use the Purposive Sampling Technique to find out the total number of respondents to be use in the study. This is a non-probability sampling techniques that relies on the judgement of the researchers when it comes to selecting the units that are to be studied. After applying the statistical treatment it was found out that there is no significant relationship between the perceptions of male and female. Since the computed t values of these correlations are all less than the critical value of 1.96 which justifies the acceptance of the null hypothesis (Ho). The perceptions of male are different from female and vice versa. The causes or contributory factor that leads the respondents to smoke has a great difference in terms of gender. Each gender has their own perception or belief towards the factor that contribute them to smoke.The respondents of this study are the selected male and female public high school students in Muntinlupa City who have already an experience in using cigarette. The respondents are not restricted to only one level, age, gender and school. The respondents consists of 100 high school students in selected public secondary school in Muntinlupa City. Questionnaire is use as the research instrument in this study.Based on the findings, the researchers formulated these following conclusions.Most of the respondents who smoke are in the ages between 15-17 years old.Majority of the respondents were male. Among the four year levels of the respondents, majority of the high school students who smoke were belong to Grade 10.There is an equal distribution of the selected public high school wherein the cigarette users are enrolled. The computed weighted mean (3.08) of the family, suggest that majority of the respondents are slightly or somewhat agree that family is one of the contributors that causes an individual to smoke.The computed weighted mean (3.24) implies that majority of the respondents are not exactly agree that peer influence is one of the factors that affects their smoking habit.The computed weighted mean (3.64) suggests that majority of the respondents agreed and in favor that curiosity as presented by the researchers in the questionnaire motivates them to smoke. This implies that the respondent’s satisfaction of their curiosity leads them to smoke.The computed weighted mean (2.41) indicates that the majority of the respondents are not in favor of self -awareness as one of the source which leads an individual to smoke. It also implies that they are conscious or aware on the different dangers that they will acquire through smoking.The computed weighted mean (2.35) implies that the respondents disclaimed that media affects an individual to smoke. This certifies that the smokers don’t get influenced by the media.The result suggests that there is no significant relationship between the perceptions of male and female cigarette smokers. The perceptions of male are different from female and vice versa. The causes or contributory factor that leads the respondents to smoke has a great difference in terms of gender. Each gender has their own perception or belief towards the factor that contribute them to smoke.

Perceived Social Factors Affecting Academic Performance Of The Third Year College Of Teacher Education Students Of Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Muntinlupa Academic Year 2015-2016

This study aimed to determine the perceived social factors affecting academic performance of the Third Year College of Teacher Education Students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa Academic Year 2015-2016. In addition, it identifies which among the five social factors (Family Connected Aspect, School Connected Aspect, Peers, Romantic Relationship and Social Media) affect most the academic performance of the students and presents the level of impact that these factors have in regards with the academic performance of the respondents.The researchers lead to conduct this study to bring awareness and significant recommendation on how to wrestle the dilemma of academic performances brought about by these social. The researchers used the descriptive survey questionnaires to gather data and information.The third year of College of Teacher Education (CTE) students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa has the total number of 394 students according to the faculty of CTE. 198 is the total number of respondents as a result from Slovins formula used by the researchers. From the ten (10) sections in CTE, the researchers took 20 students in eight sections and 19 students the two (2) remaining sections. The researchers treated the data with to descriptive and inferential statistics.In view of the preceding findings, the researchers derived the following conclusions:Out of the 198 respondents who participated in this study, one hundred fifty three (153) respondents or about seventy seven percent (77%) were in the age bracket of 18-20 years old. Twenty five (25) respondents or thirteen percent (13%) is in the age bracket of 21-23 years old, thirteen (13) respondents or seven (7%) is in the age bracket of 24-26 years old, three (3) respondents or one percent (1%) is in the age bracket of 27-29 years old and tour (4) respondents or two percent (2%) is in the age bracket of 30 and above.The respondents agreed towards school-connected aspect affect their academic performance while family-connected aspect, peers, romantic relationship, and social media has a low impact that could affect their academic performance based on the result of the study.The significant difference among the social factors that affect the academic performance of the respondents was low therefore there is NO significant difference between the perceived social factors that affect the academic performance of the respondents.Table 4.0 shows the summary of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Findings showed to accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and reject the null hypothesis (Ho) since the computed F-value 2.95 is greater than the tabular value/critical value. 2.87 at 0.05 or 5% level of Significance with the degree of freedom 4 and 20 respectively.
The Effectiveness Of Physical Environment In Muntinlupa National High School-Annex As Perceived By Selected Grade 7 Students S.Y. 2015-2016

This study will help the teacher and the students in to learn and to know about the effectiveness physical environment as part of classroom management in Muntinlupa National High School Annex as perceived by selected Grade 7 students, school year 2015-2016. In this study the researchers used the descriptive survey questionnaires to perform the gathering of data and information. The respondents of this study are the Grade 7 students of Muntinlupa National High School-Annex. The researchers recommend that the physical environment must also be a safe places for curious overactive and energetic students are always on the go. Well-designed utilization of classroom utmost necessity if the aim is to be able to manage all learning activities to a successful completion. Well arrange they make room look spacious and orderly furniture such as chair, lightings and ventilation must be positioned appropriately. The research will use the quantitative/descriptive method of research that conducts the use of survey questionnaire in gathering data and information. The respondents of the research study are the Grade 7 students of Muntinlupa National High School-Annex. The researchers used the descriptive survey questionnaires to perform the gathering of data and information. The researchers employ this to determine the profile of the selected students in public high school in the categories given by the questionnaire. The survey questionnaire prepared by the researchers was divided into two parts. Part 1 includes the demographic profile of the respondents, in terms of their year and section, sex, age and general average in last grading period. And part 2 includes the classroom management in public high school in terms of: chair arrangement, classroom ventilation, and classroom lightings. The gathered data of the researchers will be treated to descriptive and inferential statistics.In relation with the presented findings above, the researchers derived the following set of conclusion.Majority of the respondents are in the higher and lower section got equal frequency and percentage.Most of the respondents are in the age of 12-17 years old most of them are female. On the other hand, most students at the age of 13 years old got the highest frequency and percentage.Most of the respondents “Agreed” that they don’t have a problems about the chair arrangement. On the other hand, they have enough chairs within the classroom, the chair are in the good condition, the chair is properly arrange, the chair is comfortable and the chair is safe to use. Majority of the respondents “Moderately Agreed” that they encountered some difficulties in terms of the lack of electric fan within the classroom.Majority of the respondents “Agreed” that they don’t have any problems about the classroom lightings.

Factors That Affect The Same Sex-Marriage Perception Of Third Year CTE Students Of Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Muntinlupa Academic Year 2015-2016

This study on the factors that affect people perception of same-sex marriage particularly of third year students of College of Teacher education of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa conducted on School Year 2015-2016. is an essential research that has an objective to determine the acceptance of 3rd year students toward same sex union and factors that affect their behaviour or attitude on same sex marriage thus to create an ideal and harmonic environment wherein teachers and students will be aware and become sensitive to the peoples view and perception with same sex marriage and any forms of homosexual activities wherein gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender could have a better place in society or institution like school wherein they would be able to express themselves freely having healthy environment which is free from any forms of discrimination that may hurt their feelings.The finding shows among the factors that affect student’s perception on same sex marriage. The researchers have used the Descriptive method since it best fits the study. The respondents of this study are the Third Year students of the College of Teacher Education, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa which has the exact figure of Four hundred and thirteen (413) students. The analysis of variance revealed (ANOVA) that the computed value F= 1.89 is Less than the tabular value / critical value 2.87 at 0.05 or 5% level of significance with the degree of freedom of 4 and 20 respectively. Therefore, there is no significant difference among the factors that affect the perception on same sex-marriage.The researchers have used the Descriptive method since it best fits the study. The respondents of this study are the Third Year students of the College of Teacher Education, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa which has the exact figure of Four hundred and thirteen (413) students. For the data analysis, the following statistical measures were used. Frequency and Percentage Distribution, Weighted Mean, Likert Scale,rankingand ANOVA Formula or Analysis of Variance.In relation with the presented findings above, the researchers derived the following set of conclusion. The highest age frequency of 151 0r 74.8% of the respondents belong to the age bracket of 18-20 years old. The result suggests that most of the respondents who answered the survey questionnaires belong to the age bracket of 18-20 which is a legal age. The highest frequency of 132 or 63.35% of the student is female while 70 or 34.65% is male. This implies that most of the respondent are female 3rd year CTE students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa based on the fair distribution of questionnaires to the respondents. The highest frequency of 155 or 76.73% of respondents is single; 32 or 15.85% of the respondents is in a relationship; meanwhile 7 or 3.47% of the respondents is in a lived- in relationship; 6 or 2.97 of the respondents is married and 1 ior 0.49% each of the respondents is widow and separated which implies that most of the respondents from 3rd year Students of CTE of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa are dominantly single which comprises of 76.73% of the total respondents of 202.The highest weighted mean of 3.34 interpreted as moderately agree, rank 1 belong to item no.4 which have a question “Parents allow their son/daughters to frequently hang-out with homosexual friends” it’s possible nowadays because some parents now are more open to same sex marriage in support for the choices of their son’s and daughter’s in choosing friends. The highest weighted mean of 3.90 interpreted as agree, rank 1 belong to item no.1 which have a question “I enjoy having homosexual friends.” The result shows that most of the respondents enjoy the company of homosexual friends and it’s possible due to the fact that homosexual people are happier compare to heterosexuals, that’s why they are called “gay” and also because most of them possessed a great amount of sense of humor that’s the reason many are enjoying the company of homosexuals. The highest weighted mean of 3.21 interpreted as moderately agree, rank 1 belong to the item no.5 having a question of “Separation of Church and State” and the lowest weighted mean of 2.29 interpreted as disagree, rank 5 belong to the item no.1 with a question “The church should accept same-sex marriage” the result shows that respondents still clings on their religion not to accept same sex marriage. the majority of the respondents also moderately agreed with the separation of church and state that the state should not intervene whether to legalize or not the issue of same sex marriage.The highest weighted mean of 3.50 interpreted as agree, rank1 belong to the item no.4 having a question “Social media makes people more open on same-sex marriage” the result shows that social media is a big factor that affects respondents perception to be more open on same sex marriage, It’s possible due to the fact that many prominent and influential personalities today give their thoughts on the issue of same sex marriage on air or via networking sites or any forms of social media on which most of the people are using and aware. And the results show that it has a direct effect on the respondents’ perception. The highest weighted mean of 3.56, rank 1 interpreted as agree, belong to the item no.5 having a question “My personal perspective on same sex union must not be subject to debate/argument since I am entitled to live my life the way I want.” The result shows that most of the respondents do not want that their views and perspective on same sex marriage to become subject to debate/argument.
Students Demographic Profile And Preparedness To The Implementation Of Senior High School

This study will determine the level of preparedness of the selected Grade ten (10) students of the said school to the upcoming full implementation of K to 12 Program. The data gathered through the questionnaire were classified, organized, tallied and tabulated. These were subjected to descriptive and inferential statistics. After gathering the data, It revealed that , the level of preparedness of lower and higher grade ten sections of to the implementation of senior high school in Muntinlupa National High School (Main) has no significant relationship.The Main Purpose of this Study is to Determine “Students Demographic Profile and Preparedness to the Implementation of Senior High School”.In assessing the respondents’ extent of preparedness in the implementation of K to 12 in terms of Financial and Emotional support from the parents,technical know-how, peer influence and self-readiness, the researcher made use of the quantitative/descriptive method. It involved two hundred (200) students from grade ten of Muntinlupa National High School (Main) who will served as the respondents of this study. The data gathered through the questionnaire were classified, organized, tallied and tabulated. These were subjected to descriptive and inferential statistics. In descriptive statistics, frequency and percentage distribution, Likert scale, weighted mean and ranking used in describing the data. In inferential statistics, the data gathered subjected to Pearson Product-Moment Coefficient of Correlation set at .05 level of significance and T-test in treating the hypothesis of the study.In relation with the above findings, the researchers arrived with the following conclusions:Most of the respondents in higher section are female with the percentage of 80% and in the lower section are male with the percentage of 59%. On the other hand, most of the respondents are in the age of 15-17 years old with 99% in higher section and 87% in lower section. Lastly the higher and lower section both got a percentage 50% which comprises a total of 100%.The level of preparedness to the implementation of senior high school in terms of self- readiness are both rated by higher and lower section as “agree”. The level of preparedness to the implementation of senior high school in terms of peer influence rated as “moderately agree” by the higher section while the lower section rated as “agree”. The level of preparedness to the implementation of senior high school in terms of technical know-how rated as “agree” by the higher section where as “moderately agree” is the rate given by the lower section.The level of preparedness to the implementation of senior high school in terms of emotional support from the parents both higher and lower section give a rate of “agree”’. Social Acceptance Of LGBT Community As Perceived By The Selected Students Of Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Muntinlupa In The Academic Year 2015-2016

In this study, the researchers will try to expound the controversy on the LGBT in the society through knowing the level of acceptance of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa students. The researchers observe a lot of arguments against being part of the LGBT community.Perhaps it would be not amiss to mention that there are people who don’t accept the LGBT community in our present time. The research will be done in the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng MuntinlupaThe respondents of this study are the selected students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa who have already have a perception about the LGBT community. The respondents are not restricted to only one age, gender, civil status, course and religion. The respondents consists of 200 selected of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. This research is a quantitative-descriptive design. This is a type of research design wherein the numerical data is necessary to obtain the information. The researcher opted to use the Descriptive Correlation Research that is accurate to the topic to be discussed. Descriptive Correlation Research, involves description, recording, explaining, analysis and interpretation of the present condition, nature, composition and contrast. In addition its objectives are to describe systematically a situation, condition or area of interest factually and accurately. Under descriptive method, correlation, research is mostly applied. In correlation research, the aim is to determine the nature, degree and direction of relationship between events or variables using this to make prediction. The researcher used the descriptive method to describe the current academic performance of the College Students in the question as regard to the Social Acceptance of LGBT community as perceived by the selected students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod Ng Muntinlupa. To assure the interpretation of the data, which were obtained from the study, the following statistical formula was used Frequency and Percentage Distribution, Percentage, Weighted Mean, Weighted Mean and T-Test.In the view of the preceding findings, the researchers derived the following conclusions:Out of two hundred (200) respondents who participated in this study, one hundred forty eight (148) respondents or about seventy four per cent (74%) of the sample population falls under the age bracket 16-19.The respondents agree that dressing, language, behavior/attitude, skills, and role preference affects the level of to the acceptance to the LGBT community.The significant difference among the level of acceptance to the LGBT community based on the perception of the respondents was very low therefore there is no significant difference in the level of acceptance to the LGBT community.

The study refers to the Discrimination to the LGBT Community Based on the Existing Norms on Gender Equality. This study encompasses the discrimination faced by LGBT groups, especially in our country, known for being christian countries which believed that only men and women are the only creature of God. It covers the study of the peoples of the countries belonging to the third sex. How their gets experience and going through hardships whenever they are insulted. And what do they feel when they are ignored in society and how they welcomed by our communities, and what is the effect on their spiritual, emotional and psychological state of receiving them by society when it comes to this aspect. With the passage of time, the higher the number of the Lesbian, Gay,Bisexual and Transgender in our country, and the discrimination they face is still not missing. The researchers aiming for a positive result about this study. The researchers want to have the positive sides of all the LGBT member to be highlighted and seen by everyone. That Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender have its existence, that they can make differences in our society. And most importantly that LGBT’s can make a big impact to our community when it comes in progression of society and for the economic stability concern. The design of this research is Quantitative Design. With the use of statistical treatment. The respondents agreed that family, religion, education, community, during job application, and during employment are the aspects where the LGBT community experienced discrimination and revealed that there is a significant difference among the perceived level of discrimination of the variables. The summary of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), findings showed to reject the null hypothesis (Ho) and accept the alternative hypothesis (Ha) since the computed value F=3.67 is greater than the Tabular Value/Critical Value 3.34 at 0.05 or 5% level of significant with the degree of freedom of 7 and 40 respectively. Therefore, we decided to accept the alternative hypothesis.The design of this research is Quantitative Design. This study is conducted on Muntinlupa City. This City is consisted of eight (8) barangay’s. The researcher’s divided it to get respondents to barangay’s of the City. Muntinlupa City said to be the Emerald City of the South because of the National Insular Penitentiary and one of the countries biggest and most expensive residential community. That’s why lots of investors and companies decided to settled in this City.The researcher chose a quota sampling selection method choosing sample from population. Since the population planned by researcher’s in still in partial, a quota sample of (25) respondents per barangay from the population will be chosen. The sample will be stratified for ensuring equal representation among the selected citizen among members of LGBT community within Muntinlupa City. In view of the proceeding findings, the researchers derived the followingconclusion: Out of 200 respondents who participated in this study, eighty two (82) respondents or about forty one percent (41%) of the sample population under the age bracket of 18 to 21. The respondents agreed that family, religion, education, community, during job application, and during employment are the aspects where the LGBT community experienced discrimination. There is a significant difference among the perceived level of discrimination of the variables. This study tries to examine The Level of Earthquake Awareness and Preparedness of the selected third year Students of College of Teacher Education in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for Academic Year 2015-2016. It is alarming to know that there is an incoming earthquake which could harm people particularly the students and residents living in the most risky places such as Muntinlupa City. Muntinlupa City is one of the affected cities in Metro Manila when earthquake occur because it is part of the West Valley Fault System. Based on the news that has been announced as well as the studies of geologists and other agencies, in the year 2015 or in the next years to come, the Philippines will experience an Earthquake with an Intensity of 8 and a Magnitude of 7.2. In this kind of disaster, awareness and preparedness are some of the keys to prevent damages. In the case of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, many students might not be aware and prepared when such disaster comes. This can be a manifestation of the many studies and researches conducted to prove if the Filipino people are ready, equipped and prepared to this kind of situation. Since disaster is part of our life, it is very important that people residing in the most at-risk places know how to respond before, during and after earthquake to avoid loss of life and other damages. The purpose of this study is to know the level of earthquake awareness and preparedness of the selected third year students by the use of the descriptive-quantitative correlation method. After applying the statistical treatment it revealed that the Level of Earthquake Awareness and Earthquake Preparedness of the Selected Third Year Students of College of Teachers Education was negative (Weak) Linear relationship, with an average weighted mean of -0.16. the researcher recommend that the students should participate to the earth quake seminar’s, discussion to be more aware sand prepared in earth quake. The purpose of this study is to know the level of earthquake awareness and preparedness of the selected third year students of college of teacher education.The researchers made use of the descriptive-quantitative correlation method in determining the Level of Earthquake Awareness and Preparedness of the Selected Third year male and female students of College of Teacher Education in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. A Descriptive Correlation Design was used to this study to determine the Level of Earthquake Awareness and Preparedness and also to examine the relationship between those variables.The study was conducted among the selected third year students who are currently enrolled at the College of Teacher Education of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for the academic year 2015-2016. With the consideration of the findings of this research paper, the following conclusions are drawn by the researchers.Out of 202 respondents who participated in this study, majority of them belong to the age bracket 18-20, mostly are females. The respondents were predominant from Muntinlupa and most were residing in Barangay Poblacion. The Level of Earthquake Awareness of the Selected Third Year Students of College of Teachers Education was “Highly Aware”, with an average weighted mean of 4.11.The Level of Earthquake Preparedness of the Selected Third Year Students of College of Teachers Education was “Prepare”, with an average weighted mean of 3.92.The Level of Earthquake Awareness and Earthquake Preparedness of the Selected Third Year Students of College of Teachers Education was negative (Weak) Linear relationship, with an average weighted mean of-0.16.

As the technology is starting to be the main centre of the teaching style nowadays, the technology also is one of the reasons of school failure of the student. Does the traditional teaching style is still applicable for the new generation, or the teacher as well as the methods should upgrade and try to meet up with the technology? This study is important for it directs the teaching of the teacher to the learning of the students. It is finding the effectiveness of the use of audiovisual material in classroom performance as perceive of the selected grade 7 students in Social Studies of Muntinlupa National High School Main. In this study the researcher use the Descriptive method in which it describes data and characteristic about the population or phenomenon that is studied. In this research, the researchers focus on the use of audiovisual material in classroom performance as perceive of the selected grade 7 students in Social Studies of Muntinlupa National High School Main. It was found out that there is a significant relationship between the uses of audiovisual material to the academic performance of the students. The design of this research is Quantitative design. The respondents of this study are the grade 7 students of Muntinlupa National High School. For the data analysis, the following statistical measures was used Percentage – Weighted Mean, Likert Scale, Pearson’s r (Pearson product – moment correlation coefficient) – will be use to probe into the relationship of the use of audiovisual material in classroom and T-Test.The researchers have formulated their conclusion based on the drawn findings.Majority of the respondents are in the age of thirteen (13) and majority of the respondents are in the female population.As for the statement of the problem number two (2) in terms of student’s interest with a weighted mean of 3.79, many of the participants in the study concurred that audiovisual material often times affects their interest in studying as Yunus et. al., (2013) said that audiovisual creates interest in learning and according to Sivapalan et. al., (2009), audio visual enhances student’s interest in learning because it helps the students to understand the lesson and it trigger and stimulate students’ understanding.As for the statement of the problem number two (2) in terms of Oral Recitation with a weighted mean of 3.73, many of the participants in the study concurred that audiovisual material often times affects their oral recitation in the classroom.As for the statement of the problem number two (2) in terms of Written Examination with a weighted mean of 3.79, many of the participants in the study concurred that audiovisual material often times affects their written examination in the classroom As for findings number (7), the result implies that there is significant relationship between the use of audiovisual material to the classroom performance and the perception of grade seven students in terms of Student’s Interest, oral Examination and Written Examination because according to Ozaslan and Maden (2013), students learn better if materials are presented through some visual tools. Another, Jemima Daniel (2013) states that in order to convey some concepts more effectively and successfully, teacher takes help of some instructional aides or materials, such as audio-visual aids.

This study on The Relationship of Social Networking Site (Facebook) Usage to the Demographic Profile of the Selected Third Year College of Teacher Education Students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa is a essential research because of being realistic of what’s happening on the School (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa ) the increasing population of usage of these Social Networking Site (Facebook). The increase in Social Networking Site (Facebook) usage among the students of the School and the emergence of these affordable gadgets that a student may own and with these gadgets they are more and more networks through its applications or sites. This caught the interest of the researchers although there are some students use these Social Networking Site in good things such as communicating and sharing informations and for research and other study-related activities, On the other hand there are more and more students who are using too much of these can have effect on them as a student, Does Social Networking Site (Facebook) usage has a relation to the Demographic Profile? Is there a correspondence when using these Social Networking Sites particularly Facebook and the Demographic Profile.The respondents involve in this study were the Third Year students from College of Teacher Education of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa who are using Social Networking Site (Facebook) since first semester A.Y 2015-2016.The Statistical Techniques that were used to interpret the data included the Percentage, Weighted mean, Likert scale, Pearson’s r and t-value. It was revealed that there is no direct relationship between Social Networking Site usage and demographic profile of the students. The results implies that no matter what your age, gender, and civil status are, usage of social networking site such as facebook is a habitual trend of every filipino’s and part of their everyday living. The Research design that was used in these study is the Quantitave Design since it deals with Statistics and quantities. And basedon the problem that was investigated, the descriptive analysis method will be used in the study. The respondents involve in this study were the Third Year students from College of Teacher Education of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa who are using Social Networking Site (Facebook) since first semester A.Y 2015-2016.The Statistical Techniques that were used to interpret the data included the Percentage, Weighted mean, Likert scale, Pearson’s r and t-value.The researchers have formulated their conclusion based on the drawn findings.As for findings number one (1), majority of the respondents are in ages between 18 to 19. As for findings number (2), majority of the respondents are in female population. As for findings number four (4), Majority of the respondents are single. As for findings number five (5), the computed categorical mean (2.91) of the statement of the problem number two (2) in terms of Social Networking Indicator Time. The results suggests that many respondents are neutral when using facebook. As a student, they have a lot of things to do and their time is allocated to their priorities while studying. The time range of using facebook is not determined and varies also to users reason and purpose of using it. As for findings number six (6), the computed categorical mean (2.96) of the statement number two (2) in terms of Social Networking Indicator Frequency. The results implies that the respondents preferences to use facebook or not depends on their decision. Frequent use this social networking site indicates that users have different reasons why they are using facebook. As for findings number seven (7), the computed categorical mean (3.19) of the statement number two (2) in terms of Social Networking Indicator Accessibility, The results implies that the respondents access facebook through different devices not just mobile phones and they are willing to pay for prepaid services for surfing the internet. As for findings number eight (8), there is no direct relationship between Social Networking Site usage and demographic profile of the students.

The topic we have chosen to discuss was already studied by the various people. However, we are one of the students in charge to conduct a research about Academic Performance. We took it upon ourselves to study the level of influence of the different factors that affect the academic performance of an individual. Then, what is academic performance? How these factors affect the level of influence of the academic performance of the student? In this study the researchers made use of the descriptive analysis method in determining the level of influence of the different factors that affect the academic performance of selected 3rd year students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. The descriptive analysis method will be used in the study, includes collecting of data in order to know the answers concerning the study and to find out the level of influence of the factors affecting the academic performance of selected students from different colleges of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. The Statistical Techniques that were used to interpret the data included the Percentage, Weighted mean, Likert scale, Pearson’s r and t-value. It revealed that there is significant relationship between study habits and peers, peers and family, family and financial, financial and health, health and social media, and social media and study habits. The main objective of this research is to determine the level of influence of the different factors that affect the academic performance as perceived by the of selected 3rd year students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa in the Academic Year 2015-2016. The main objective of this research is to determine the level of influence of the different factors that affect the academic performance of selected 3rd year. The study was conducted among two hundred fifty (250) selected 3rd year students who are currently enrolled at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for the academic year 2015-2016 with the use of test questionnaires in gathering data. The Statistical Techniques that were used to interpret the data included the Percentage, Weighted mean, Likert scale, Pearson’s r and t-value.In view of the preceding findings, the researchers derived the following conclusions: Out of 250 respondents who participated in this study, two hundred two (202) respondents or about eighty point eight per cent (80.8%) sample population under the age bracket of 17 to 20.
